The only thing I will add to this post is make sure your public liability insurance covers you for this type of work. We were told many years ago by our company that they would not insure us against claims made upon us if anyone claimed they had an accident due to distortion of the glass however minor.
We had great succes using the Novus scratch system on TV sets But man was it noisey and messy no trouble making £400 per day but I hated it and sold off that part of the business.
