LYNX and Safelite handle most of the larger, national insurance companies. And, yes, I call the claim in ahead of time with the customer present. If you have an appointment you could ask the customer to call in the claim but you run the risk that LYNX or Safelite may steer the customer to another shop. I had a USAA customer who called in the claim and Safelite tried to steer them to another shop. The customer said that she already had an appointment with me.
