Thanks guys, I've made an appointment for Safelite to come and work on it tomorrow. I didn't want to take any chances and it is like an insurance policy. I'm in New York so the weather does get quite extreme. Its going to be 95 or so tomorrow, sigh. When I looked at it very closely, there clearly are cracks/fracture lines on both ends of this black looking chip. They're like eyelashs. However, the whole thing is like no more than half an inch wide.
