DM,
If the glass is to hot to leave your hand on it for awhile it is certainly to hot to repair. You will be surprised out how quickly it will cool down by just rolling down the windows and opening all the doors with the ac running.

I feel it is extremely wrong to market yourself as something you are not sure you are. I hope bey the time you go out on the road you are up to the standard of a good quality tech. Have you had any factory training. As in PDR there are hackers in WSR do please do not bring our business into disripute by claiming to be the best and only delivering poor quality results.

Remember undersell and over deliver. How come as one of the best PDR men you find time for screen repair surely this is a backwards step? I was always led to believe PDR was the most profitable, am I wrong in this.

I got into windshield repair because I had a few of my accounts asking me about it. It is not going to be an 8 hour a day job, it will be a service available to my present clients when they need the service. PDR will still be my bread and butter. I would have been an idiot not to spend less than a thousand (way less) and a few weekends at one of my accounts junk yards practicing to beable to increase my income by maybe 10% per month or so. And as far as my UNPROMOTED, UNKNOWN ABOUT webpage (except for you guys) when you are the only person doing windshield repair in a SMALL area you then are the area leader. I will not be a hack, I have been practicing very hard and am feeling very comfortable with the process. I have a good reputation in what I do now and would do nothing to mess it up. Thank you.

I should not have made the joke about "area leader". In that I was wrong. I understand where you are coming from SCREENMAN. I know what it is like to have a "hack" enter the biz. It does run it down and put a bad taste in peoples mouth. Just believe me when I say that I will practice and practice to be the best that I can be in WSR. When I need advice and how to information I will come to you and others in this forum. In PDR you get to a point where in your mind you say to yourself, "ok I have got it!". I am feeling like I said before very comfortable with WSR but I know "I DON"T HAVE IT". Question is when do you know in WSR that you have it?

Same as PDR you never stop learning, bit like golf when you think you are playing real good you stuff up the next shot.

Keep making those practise repairs wet befor you start that is what sorts out the good guys.
