Long cracks are always a judgement call. 1st question for the customer is -When did it happen?
If you have a lifetime warranty, explain to the customer that the warranty doesn't apply and why and then if they still want the repair, do it if you have time.
Ask yourself- Which is safer-the unrepaired crack or the repaired crack?
