I had a couple start to run on me this winter about 15 seconds into using the moisture evaporator, but I think that was because I had the defroster on just before that for awhile and the temperature outside was probably at freezing or just slightly above. I even slowly circled outside the impact area some before leaving it on the impact point. I think the moral is the colder the temps the harder it is to control. I also had a larger chip repair fall out this winter, inferior resin or colder weather or a combination of both. I used to live in a real hot climate and probably had as many problems in the heat (daisying was a typical one). So there you go. You just have to get used to the obstacles you're working with
