I started out in vinyl repair maybe 8 years or so before I started windshields. I remember my boss training me back then for car lot work, "If you can get the manager to walk out with you, that's the best." That's because most of the time the dealers don't even know what needs repairing til you bring it to their attention, and of course seeing is believing.

I might add, after you've serviced the account for awhile, the opposite is true; If they are willing to just look at your list and ok it without looking, that means they fully trust you. But for brand new accounts getting them out to look at the problem would be the ideal.
