A friend of mine who lives in Oklahoma lost his State Farm coverage for windshield repair and as a result he started shopping around and ended up dropping SF on everything, home and autos. He switched to Shelter and said he's paying less for the same coverage. He did not find out that they had dropped it until he called a shop to have his windshield repaired! He wasn't real fond of their decision and they lost him as a customer. I'm sure that the same scenario as his has played out with plenty of SF insured all over the country. You can bet that they are losing customers simply by pissing them off and giving them reason to shop around.
