The concept of an unbreakable windshield will never fly.. The windshield is designed as a part of the structural integrity of the vehicle in the event of a roll over etc.. But, it is also designed via lamination to have "flex" appeal to keep from breaking the occupants necks, faces etc in the event of a major accident.. True air bags have helped to keep this from happening but I can't see an unbreakable windshield ever being used..
