Default Re: Insurance companies, Networks, and Forum Etiquette

Constructive suggestion for the NWRA and the networks, et al.

Repair only business' need to be compensated in 3 ways for mobile repair service.

1. Timely payment for work performed. (Obviously)

2. A minimum trip charge on dispatched jobs that turn out to unrepairable.

3. Charging a co-pay when the charges for the repair exceed the amount
set by the insurance carrier.

Now, is anyone at the NWRA or the networks reading this and paying attention.

I have posted numerous times in the past in a "complaining" tone about how, in my opinion, ignorant it is for an established business to have the value of their time disrespected.
Does anyone expect a plumber or electrician to dispatch a tech to your home or business and not pay a trip charge if they perform no work?

It's high time this industry wake up to this reality. Collectively, we really did this to ourselves. I may be putting the cart before the horse here, but, I, like the rest, did agree to the conditions of the network contracts. That includes excepting the prices "they" have set.

My policy changed that I will not accept a dispatched job more than 10 miles from my location. Simply because I will not sacrifice my TIME and expense to find an unrepairable windshield and get to drive away with NOTHING!

I will continue this thread to touch on copays as they relate to network contracts.
