IMHO, One would be better served to get to know who approves the work and let them get to know you. You catch more bees with honey than vinegar. It can only benefit you to build a business relationship rather than just a cold vendor environment. For us, we see our dealerships once a week and there are times when being personable is appropriate and reciprocated or initiated by them. Yes, they can get busy and that is where common sense comes into play.Keep it business only at those times and avoid small talk. I am not saying become there best friend but always try to be professional despite there possible personality short comings.
