Completely agree, I worked the same way for many years. However I think it is a good idea to know when to kick back and chill and think about quality of life and not just financial gain. Nowadays it is a 4 day week but I still have targets, due to the weather systems over here they vary slightly winter to summer. I also increase my profits which is what I am concerned about by doing price increases on a regular basis, also by trying to improve my customer base for better quality ones.
