hello
Hi Chipfxr,
We use and love the glas weld system. Their support is great and the certification classes they hold around the country are very hands on one on one training in all subjects you have mentioned. The kits are very high quality and pull some good vacuum. The injectors and bridges are all of stainless steel. You can get some good buys on ebay if you will keep looking. We have 2 of the scratch systems if theirs and have 4 of their repair injectors.
There are many quality kits out there that will do some good repairs if you will do your research in them. The people on this forum are really class acts also with some good info all the time. This is what we do full time 5 days a week. We service weekly 30 accounts of fleet and used car lots with whatever insurance jobs come our way but you can't make a living with the retail here.
With lots of practice and research of the forums archives you will become good quickly. Each break is different and your repair times will vary. Cracks is like an art and requires lots of practice. Scratch removal is a technique that you will have to master and works with heat and rouge. Take it easy on the heat especially around the edges of the shield and take your time or you can get it hot enough to crack. I would suggest the glas weld scratch training classes on this. The glas weld kit is really distortion free only with the 6 inch pads though.
Hope this helps and welcome aboard.
