Chip,
We have and keep several different viscosities of resins. We also have them in different tints. We use amber tint to help hide some of the star breaks and gray tints for bullseyes.we also have some clear. We really only use mostly 2 resins.
Our supplier offers a cheaper line of a general purpose resin that we do a lot of our fleet repairs since they get the discounted prices.
Our really fleet lines are great and will not switch to get a cheaper rate. They have been there before.
The car lots will not be loyal to anyone if someone comes in and undercuts your price as they are interested in price and not quality, however we have had some call us back after the quick repairmen have botched some repairs or windshields. Most of our accounts are pretty loyal now but it was tough at first. When someone undercuts the area pricing everyone hurts.
You can ask for samples from many suppliers and they will usually send some. Some or good and a few are snake oils. I have always gone back to our originals, though.
