Hello everyone.
As you know i am still looking for the ultimate in w.r. tools. So upon my browsing the net i found somthing disturbing.(YOU FOLKS TELL ME IF YOU THINK IM WRONG)
I went to check the u.s. windshield repair forum to see if there were any new posts or replies.Well i found one. It was about a tech like myself looking for info on tools before making the plunge.
Iwas reading how u.s. was plugging his program to the soon to be new tech. (nothing wrong with that)
the new tech went on to express his concerns on the cost of u.s.'s tools and training package, a bit pricey but seemed to be nice.
Well u.s. came back and told the new prospect if cost was areal concern,then check out rightlook.com or was it rightchoice.com?
Any way this is where it got interesting!
Me being the nosey person that i am i also went to that sight only to find...........A BIG SUPRISE!!
This sight caters to various small business.(DENTS,DINGS,DETAILERS,etc.. Well imagine my surprise to find the owner of U.S. pictured on the sight repairing a windshield! Upon further investigating the sight i found his tools were also the ones that sight was claiming to be theirs.
I was getting ticked! Before we go any further you need to understand that i live in Oregon and i go to Sandiego once a week every week for my auction biz. I contacted u.s. to see his tools and ask for a demo. I told him i was in Sandiego once a week. he told me to come to Orange co. Ca for the demo. So i went to Orange co. from SANDIEGO rented a hotel room. Then saw him the next morning.
Now what ticks me off is that i was already in Sandiego before driving to L.A. area. Remember the web site i just told you about.GUESS WHAT? It's in freaking Sandiego!! I could have driven a few minutes instead of a few hours! And i could have saved a hotel bill among the inconvienance. I called the company that had the site, the first guy on the phone didnt know what i was talking about when i referred to the guy doing the glass repair on the web site. After talking to the owner Steven Powers, he said that u.s. actually makes the tools but they came up with the training videos and the training course that you can purchase for a nominal fee. U.S. is against traing videos,and whats up with the company claiming the tools to be there's?
