As long as the sealer is warmed up with the sun and or like Bes said by using a heat gun it will go on and look smooth.
I did make the mistake and not warm up the sealer just by setting in the sun as I work and it came out verry bad. The next time iworking it on a cool day and it could not warm up I just thined it down a little. Now if that would happen again I carry a heat gun and generator and heat up the can at the last minute.. Practice makes perfict.... Learn as you go.

One other quick question for you guys.....do you recommend buying the instructional video? I know how to sand and buff headlights, but is there some secret processes involved in the prep of the lense prior to the application of the sealer?
Thanks for all your help, T4K |

It would not hurt to have it to see if you are doing something differant or for the ideas they have...
The video does have some good ideas for by hand and machine operated.

T4K,
have you tried IPS sealer, it does not leave any lines when fully cured, and will last for years. |

Brent
I run a Honda 1000. Quite, no problem with the grinder, orbit sander, or my heat gun on low (800 watt) High is 1200 and will blow the breaker after 15 seconds. Weight is 30 lb, Well worth having. I like the fact I do not have to mix gas. It is 4 cycle.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. Heat guns, or heaters of any kind require a lot of power. I would think the low setting would be sufficient for most of your needs though.

by running the heat gun at low it will prevent over heating, melting or burning anyway...
Its good to be safe.

Brent you can get an inverter for a real good price that will run that heat gun just fine.It do's not pull as much power as you think.
