Rain-X Problems

Post by crackhead »

Has anyone else experienced problems associated with Rain-X or other rain repellents that customers use on their windshields? Sometimes I have problems with it pushing resin back out and leaving black edge lines, etc. Any advice on how to keep this from happening?

If you know the glass has been treated drill to the break leave the injector on and pressure cure. When ready to fill pit take the drill and burr the inside of the pit ruffing up all the edges then apply the pit resin after all this do Native American rain dance say a couple hail marys to seal the deal and remove cure tab and scrape as normal with fingers and toes crossed

I just carry a can of acetone and clean every break with it, just assume the ws is treated, clean it and you wont have any problems after the repair.
