Auto Glass Technician Olympics

Postby Brent Deines » November 12th, 2009, 10:06 am

In addition to the Windshield Repair Olympics, the Auto Glass Technician Olympics were also held at the NACE show last week. As always the competition was fierce but Jamie Browning received a score of 249 (almost perfect) to take 1st place. These guys are the best of the best.

Although the main focus of the competition is replacement, competitors must also prove their windshield repair skills. We were very pleased to learn that all three of the top finishers chose Delta Kits professional windshield repair systems for the repair portion of the competition.

Gold: Jamie Browning of Glasspro – Daniel Island, SC.
Silver: Greg Hamilton of Glasspro – Charleston, SC.
Bronze: Travis Crebs of TechnaGlass – Utah

Congratulations to all of you for a fine job!

Auto Glass Week is just around the corner; are any forum members planning to attend or to compete in the 2015 Auto Glass Technician Olympics this year?

For anyone unfamiliar with the event, AGW runs from September 28th through October 2nd and the AGTO will be held on October 1st & 2nd. For more info visit http://autoglassweek.com/.

I believe registration for the AGTO is now closed you can still register for AGW.

AGTO cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are $5000, $1000 and $500 respectively.

Well I knew I was a little behind but I didn't realize I never got around to posting a list of WRO winners in 2016 or 2017! This year there was also a competition for customer service representatives.

Here are links to the Glassbytes announcements for the winners in 2016 and 2017. Gongratulations to all of you!
