About a month ago it was announced in Sunday School a couple I do not know because we have just been visiting this church a short while, had a wreck, (not going very fast) the passanger (wearing seat belt) lady's neck broke when her head hit the solidly inflated but not deflated passanger side air bag.. Coma two weeks life supported then passed last week. I havn't spoken to anyone of their friends concerning any knowledge of a replacement w/s or a cracked w/s. Don't know what to do.

Today travelling in Southern Missouri today we were third on the scene of a pickup upside down in medium. First two said they saw the truck airborn, vertical hit front end on ground plus flipping over onto roof three times. Total wreck. Upside down on top. Could not tell anything about the vehicle except it had been white.. Man about 60 was able to crawl out passanger side door in a few minutes after a couple of big guys pulled it open a bit. Badly scraped and brused but alive.
Providing a blanket and some comfort before emergency people arrived, I spent time taking pictures of the airbag, roof and windshield.
Windshield was badly cracked but had stayed in place supporting the roof. Roof had come down some but deffinatly not caved in....... It did it's job!
As ROLAGS AND AGRSS would say, his seat belt, air bag and WINDSHIELD saved his life. Air bag hanging upside down in a upside down vehicle deflated as it should be.
Enough said...first and foremost as a professional...what is best for your customers?

We sometimes do not realize how important and serious our job is, until we come across such situations. It is important for us to make a customer understand that our diagnosis of his car repair is always based on his safety first and we can never take chances when doing our job. We should always keep in mind that our customers have faith in the fact that we provide them the best quality work, with the most efficient laborers working on their vehicle to ultimately achieve desired results of safety and perfection.

Sorry to hear of the ladies death as a result of the accident. In the UK, the police attending an accident where there has been a serious injury, will immediately commence a thorough examination of the crash scene to establish possible/probable causes of the accident and subsequent injuries. They will not re-open the road until the accident investigators have completed their examination. If they do the same in your country, I feel sure they would have checked the correct operation of all safety equipment.
