What does solar in the nags book mean.

Sorry for such a simple question but I would like to make sure. Does it mean that the windshield has solar protection in the laminate? Do all windshields have the protection? Thanks for your help guys and gals.

When you are looking up the glass to order you have several different selections.
Windshield
Windshield (solar)
DWO1099
DWO1333 (Solar)
Both for the same vehicle one is solar.

NAGS Terms and Abbreviations as used in NAGS Catalogues and Calculators describe Solar = Solar Glass (glass that blocks out harmful ultraviolet and infared rays, to keep the vehicle cooler and reduce sun damage).
This and other terms used by NAGS are at the end of any NAGS Catalogue book.
