In the past that may have been true. With the way things are in the business community now, someone can still come after you even with the LLC. My wife owns a tax office, specializing in severeal areas of business, and I assure you that you may not be as protected as you may think with a LLC. Florida and a few other states have laws that will protect your home. Thats why CEO's of enron and several other failed corporations, built multi-million dollar homes in those states. Once the lawsuites were seattled they could convert the homes back to cash. Good luck!
