In my humble opinion, water and electricity don’t mix well.

I wet sand with power tools but I only mist the lens enough to keep the dust from becoming an issue. I also have GFI plugs on all of my cords and the locations I plug into have GFI built into their outdoor wiring facilities. 8-)
