Check this out one day in blazing O. K country I was set by a truck stop and after 3 hours of nothing "Bam ! " I got overun ...... now being it was a trial local I was impressed and excited to get hammered like that the first one shows up with a bullseye ezee peeze japanezee I knocked that out with ease and a degree of smug assurance then arrogantly jumped on the two stars and then a crack shows up all cars with a trucker coming over from across the road ...... Yehaa ! im thinkin 'fat tuesday baby so with my mouth runnin like diarrhea (entertaining the crowds with my apparent vast knowledge of auto glass Mfg. ) I started on two of them getting in a hurry not wanting to lose anyone standing by .... Did I mention the heat ? it was crazy...anyway I move on toward the crack which was about 4" and thought to myself eh not to bad Ill clean it up while the others are cookin so I dug it out a little being pretty chippy and grabbed my can of air to blow it out a smig noticing Id lost my straw temporarily and being in a greedy hurry I just put the nozzle right down on the glass and gave it a toot and *&&&^&^)((&$!!@@#$$%%%$T%%^ Sanzabar !!!!!!! that sucker took of like it was on fire going half way across the windshield what Id failed to consider was a flaming windshield suddenly introduced to freezing air at a proximity far to close to allow normalization with the ambient flame throwing heat around us and the angle of the can used without a straw lending to a mix of air and the liquid contents of the can spilling on the surface ...Well in complete awe and bitter amazement I instantly shrunk to half my normal stature meanwhile the customer was jawing with a crony behind his car unaware and in the shade while I was sweatin cannon balls unable to speak especially with such an inopportune audience with eye's & ears of skeptisism as sensitive to uh oh's as the hubble telescope is to space my mouth suddenly as dry as though filled of a mix of dirt with the sensation and taste of alum.
Well as good things follow in pairs or so it seems at times one of the stars also performed a 2" jail break in three directions the trucker split (another Bullseye) and I was left suckin wind like a 5 horse Hoover and though the people were visibly and audibly disappointed at the results and prospects of new windshields in their immediate future they graciously seeing my obvious defragmention happening before them pardoned me in favor of blaming the intense heat or so they said and old damage ( which Id set up to prior to beginning as a safety line I pre-engineered into my explanation for repairs as I still wasnt completely sold on nor the process I was selling ) which I humbly accepted , God what a day !.
Though good news here is that individual patient care is important as we , I or You dont know what could happen at any given moment and rushing something as volatile as glass for greed is baaaaddd and I still managed unbelieveably by the grace of whatever god controls this stuff to have a around a 175.00 day inspite of the opening bell frakus at a first time location which oddly enough remained a fair to really good spot. umboy

You said we would not know what could happen, we do if we did things like you seem to be doing. Just out of curiosity how much experience do you have.

Self assured or confident, much the same thing I suppose. In terms of glass repair about 18 years, as it took me about 5 to get to that point.

Funny story glasseyed. If I read it correctly this was in Oklahoma which didn't have a break from 100 degree days for two months straight this year.

Moral of the story, if it is too hot to put your hand on it it is too hot to work on it. I use the fleshy part at the base of my thumb as this part seem more sensitive to heat than any other part of the hand.
