You are on a DELTA site. What do you really think 75% will say?

You could go on other manufacturers forum, but usualy nobody else does, also do not say anything that is not 100% for their product or disagree with them in the slightest as you may get chucked off. As was the case with me on the Glas-weld forum.

I don't know if you know it or not, but that is why this forum was started. A former employee tried to post on Rock Chip Rich's forum to set the record straight about an incorrect statement that had been posted about a Delta Kits product, and the post was immediately deleted. We tried again and again it was deleted without explanation. The funny thing was that it was something silly like a post saying that Delta Kits uses plastic injectors, and all we wanted to do was report the correct information. Since that time I have only visited competitor forums on a couple of occasions, but have never joined or tried to make a post. That was several years ago and Rich's forum has long since been abandoned.
However, back to the question at hand, the question of which repair system is best really cannot be answered fairly on this or any other manufacturer forum, although that is not because the majority of members of this forum are Delta Kits users. In fact, Delta Kits users are still very much a minority on this forum. The reason the question cannot be answered fairly is because many users of other systems do not feel they can express "all" of their feelings openly here, or on any other manufacturer forum, and to some degree that is true.
Several competitors have requested in writing that their products not be discussed on this forum. Often forum members think that I am deleting those posts or company names to gain an unfair advantage, but in reality I am simply honoring those requests. Why would competitors make those requests? Well it generally starts with them demanding that I remove a post that is negative, but want me to retain all of the positive posts. Although I am not legally obligated to remove anything, I generally give them the choice, either leave all the posts, or remove all the posts. Sometimes they choose removal, in which case their products can no longer be discussed here.
I will also edit posts that state things that engineers who I have hired over the years have proven to be untrue. If competitors want to make those claims on their websites and their customers choose to believe those claims there is nothing I can do about it, but I will not allow untrue marketing pitches to be posted here. By the same token you will not hear me giving a sales pitch for Delta Kits products here on the windshield repair forum. I will answer direct questions about our products, as will some of our competitors about their products, but other than that the best you can hope for here is that members of this forum tell you what they use.
Unfortunately even if an independent windshield repair technician were to start a forum, or you posted the same question on an industry organization website you would not get fair answers. The reason for that is that some will join under aliases, sometimes using several identities, in an effort to promote their own products and/or services. Believe me, it happens all the time and it requires a great deal of time and effort to track down the offenders and remove them. That is yet another reason that a 100% open forum simply does not work.
As has been stated in the past but many on members of the windshield repair forum, there is no one choice that is better than all the rest for every technician. Some will prefer one system and others will prefer another system, just like in the automobile or computer industry. Try as many systems as you can, get a written money back guarantee on anything you buy, get properly trained on the system you choose, and more than likely you will be very happy with your purchase. Thank God we have choices!
