For most breaks larger than the drystar I use a micro torch and the new chill tool. For long cracks it is compressed air everytime.
"New chill tool"???

Let me just add that except for custom orders our production parts will all be blue, but at this point in time we do have black, red, and blue. If you specify a color we will try to comply, but since we have a limited supply we cannot guarantee what color you will receive. Let me also reiterate that there is a very limited number of this pre production run and they will be sold on a 1st come first serve basis.

Has anyone used a Hair Dryer to dry out a chip such as the star?
I do use it to warm the glass and keep it warm, yet never thought of drying out the void.

I seen a guy using a portable/Handheld vacuum and placed it over the chip. Would he have been using this method to dry out or suck up loose
glass from cleaning & prep' the void?

I was also curious about this. When I heated the glass and that leg took off in panic to run from me.
Was it the HEAT pushing through causing the leg to run and when it stopped there was no more heat?( Basically was the HEAT traveling through the run/Leg?)
Or Was it that the glass & the Void experianced two differant climate changes at once and thats the reaction. (The Heat stays in the void and created stress?

If any of this makes sense.
