Re: New I-100
I just tried it out this morning. The biggest improvement is the larger inside dia of the body. Putting the dropper all the way down to the seal is VERY nice. The more agressive thread, requiring fewer turns to get the injector down to the seal is a plus. It also looks like more of the seal is held captive in the bottom of the injector. I would expect this to result in less flaring in a seal as it gets older (more use). The one thing I miss right off is the head on the injector body. The top of the old injector body had a head, the same dia as the head on the injector. When going into preasure, I would put my fingers under the body head and press down on the injector. Now I have to hold the mount to press the injector down. I dont like just pushing on the injector head without support, as it increases the presure on the break. Ive never cracked one out this way, but I just see it as a potential problem. Anyway so far so good! I hope others that have upgraded will post their findings.

Re: New I-100
Is it just me or has anyone noticed that the new injector doesn't fit as snuggly into the bridge as the old one? It has a bit of a wobble to it, as if it wasn't quite the same size. My old injector fits nice and snug, with no wobble and the threads aren't worn or anything.

Re: New I-100
Pane,
Both pieces are covered under a lifetime warranty, so if can, give us a call and we can get you set up to return them for repair/replacement. The base is fiberglass/nylon mixture so it's pretty tough, but occasionally they do need to be retapped.
Shouldn't be loose, so as I said, give us a call and we'll fix it.

I don't believe it's the bridge. If I put the old injector in it fits fine and I can't wiggle it, if I put in the new injector it has some play so it can be wiggled. I was kinda thinking that it was made this way so it has more flexibility to seal better when the seal comes in contact with the glass, kinda like selfleveling?

Re: New I-100
The tolerances on the new injector are tighter, so here's the problem. The EZK-3 you had before was on the "wide" side of the tolerances, which means your base is too. Now that you've got an I-100 that has tolerances of less than .001, your base is a bit too wide.
I recommend calling us, getting a RA#, and we'll swap out your base, since it's got a lifetime warranty.
