In my dealings with Farmers, they have approved $500 deduct and under. I really can't blame them though. If I was in charge of an ins. co. I wouldn't want to waive a higher deductable when it's more than the cost of a new windshield. How many windshields are more than $500? I think "My" ins. co. would only waive for $250 or lower deductible. :(

Farmers also will vary how much they pay for a repair by how new or nice their insureds vehicle is and where they live. This may have changed, but they only paid me $50 of a normal $60 charge. They explained a lame excuse about how they vary their payments on several factors.... sometmes it's 60 sometimes it's 50.

Now I am pretty sure it's just $50.
