How about a thread where we throw out some quick tips that make things easier?
My first one would be I carry one of those little green snap cases that LISTERMINTS come in filled with cure tabs in my pocket

The piece of 0000 steel wool can be used to clean the glass before starting a repair. The steel wool will remove any hydrophobic contaminates so you won't have to worry about the resin not sticking to the surface. Do this before cleaning the pit area with a probe so when you do clean the pit any steel wool fibers are removed at that time.

Korey: you won the price yourself!
The answer has been explained here on this very forum in various posts.
And yes, it is a very good idea to use this as a pre-repair-cleaning-aid. It works great.

We learned at GlasWeld: if in doubt, pull the piston out.
(for a second or third vacuum cycle in order to be able to have the void completely filled with resin BEFORE you cure)
