Buble Dome UV
How many of you long time WSR Tech use a bubble dome? Iam on the east coast and the shipping cost is almost as much as the dome. It a nice to have item if its raining, but does that justify the additional shipping cost. I've only had a few repairs that I had to deal with rain. Most of the time I was able to set the appointment for a time after the rain stopped.
If you use the dome list on here the pro's. Thank you for your input !

We are long-time-users. It is a great aid, any vehicle in our fleet has at least one on board, you really should get one yourself.

Do you use it for anything other than rain?

Re: Buble Dome UV
i have used one for a little over a year and love it. remember first it is a UV dome tose and block the rays, but it works real well in a light drizzel, i to was stuck on the shipping price but got over it and am very pleased.

Re: Buble Dome UV
They appear to be slightly bulky. I still use the yellow plastic covers with suction cups.

Re: Buble Dome UV
The biggest problem with them is even with the suction cups in place, the wind can catch them. They are rather bulky but I use them occasionally.

Re: Buble Dome UV
The wind can catch them if you place the opening in the wrong direction. In other words: that ''problem'' can be easily prevented. Suction cups are fine, never experienced any problems. We use the UV-Domes when it rains, or when we fall short in the availability of other UV-blockers (we use GW injectors, so we prefer to use the blockers which ''slide'' around the injector rather than the bulky Dome). I guess this answers several questions/comments/concerns in one reply.

Candyman
There is another Glass site you can order one from. They are closer to you. Look at Liquid Resin, they are in Illinois. Hope that helps.

Re: Buble Dome UV
One can also add another suction cup for more stability. I believe the DK domes already have an additional one (most times they come with just 3).
Re: Buble Dome UV
I am using 1 bubble shield and put 2 extra suction cups on it and its works perfect.
