Jeff, I almost went with Delta when I was looking to upgrade, but decided on one that was closer to me for training, as well as shipping (regular UPS reaches me overnight if I order first thing in the morning). I am content with the system I have, and would recommend it to anyone who asks, but I thought then, and I still do, that Delta has fine products.

Goldstar-

It's always good to hear people are happy with their systems, regardless of whose they may be! What part of the country are you located in?

Default Thanks goldstar!

Hi Jeff,

I’m reading your welcoming statement in this thread – “I hope to make this a place where beginners can learn from the experts, and where beginners bring new ideas to the table to help experts! No product selling here, just good advice!“ – and can’t help but wonder why someone would post something so far off base.

I, too, believe an open forum is of great benefit to our industry. I’m puzzled why anyone would attack you in this forum rather than have called you directly with his problem. I’m also wondering if you’re not right on the money – “As I'm sure you can imagine, it is sometimes great fun for our competitors to post anonymous derogatory comments in our forums.”

I certainly wouldn’t believe anything an anonymous poster to this or any other forum had to say.

Regards,

Chipdoctor:

Unfortunately, there are people that want to put down their competitors instead of focusing on making their own products be the best quality possible. When someone chooses to use a forum to aggressively incite arguments then it brings the level of the forum down, and we are forced to delete those posts.

We want this forum to be a place where people can get information, to some degree on different manufacturers, but mostly in tips, techniques etc.

When we decided to start this forum, we debated on whether to make it a Delta Kits customers only forum, where they would be given a login name and password to post. While this would have removed the problem above, we would have also missed out on some genuinely useful advice and helpful people. While actual procedures differ due to different manufacturers, the general concepts are the same, techniques work across the board, and marketing advice is the same. This makes for a forum where all windshield repair technicians can benefit.

Thanks for your support!
