Hi everyone, I just have a simple question.
The windshileld of my 92 chevy has 2 cracks, each near the bottom left and right corners. Is it unsafe for me to take it on the freeway? Thanks. best, neoangeul23 www.howtosavemoneyonautorepairs.com

neo,
I think most of the regulars here will agree with this: In any case, it's my opinon (whatever that's worth)... without actually seeing the cracks, it is difficult to give a definate answer to that question. If I were you, I'd have it checked at an inspection station or by a reliable windshield repair professional.

neoangul23,
Like Grace suggested, have it looked at. Your question, I will answer from two outlooks. 1. Technically speaking you have a potential safety risk. Your windshield is broken an might night function as designed in the event of an accident. So from that outlook, it is unsafe. 2. With common sense in mind now, it is still unsafe but will something happen where the integrity of the windshield comes into play....probably not, but it might. You have to decide what best for you and your passengers. A windshield repair if possible is a small price to pay to ensure your safety and it might even be free to you. Sooner or later you will need to act on your damage with either repair or replacement though. Choose wisely. Pay it foward, Brian www.safeglasstechnologies.com info@safeglasstechnologies.com
