Just want alittle help on this. First I have my certification from the manufacture that I got my equipment through. Also I`m in the process of getting licensed for windshield repair. The SBA said I could work my business right away, while getting the licenses, and other business stuff in tack. The only thing being you can only earn up to $500.00- before all business paperwork needs to be in order for my business. My question is this until I have my business license can I bill customers Insurance and get paid on the repair? I have 3 jobs lined up, and all 3 people want me to bill there insurance. Just want alittle help on this. One person told me to use A.C.T. that they would bill for me. Is this so without my actual business license yet. Thanks

I would pass on the A.C.T. as they charge to much and go with GlassComp.

Ok, you have applied for a business liscense. Theoretically, applicant's never get turned down. You were given the green light to begin you business. Whats the problem? Your income, is not a public record. Whether you make $500 or $5000., it's not any of their business. If at the end of your first year they request a copy of your 1040, fine.. That would be correct as to assess you the correct amount for liscense renewal. As for now, make the money.. There is no penalty for making a living. What you pass up today may not be repairable tommorrow..

I was very misunderstood by all of you who responded to my post, except for the glassweld tech thanks for the info on glasscomp. Maybe it was the way I explained things. First I never applied for a business license. I had only called about my license, and received information on what I had to do to get it. And far as the SBA. I attended a SBA seminar for individuals wanting to start a small business. This is where I was told you can make up to $500.00 without your business license, after that you should have a license. Also I was still researching the best insurance for my business. So I`m still in the process of making some financial decisions for my business, So That is why I was asking can if I can use a service like A.C.T. until I got all my business dealings in order so I didn`t lose the 3 jobs I had lined up. Thanks I still think this forum is the best.
