My new EZK - 1 kit,why does it take so long?

Just received my kit and am concerned that it takes 2-4 cycles to complete a repair. Plus to speed the repair apply pressure with your thumb? Seems to me that the injector should not need my help to do its job.
Is this standard in the industry?
I watched a Glass Mechanix video and they claim a single cycle quick repair. May be I am wrong about Glass Mechanix but the time to do a repair with this kit seems long. Is Delta slow compared to the rest of the industry?
Please share your thoughts on this as I'm new to windshield repair.

Something to think about. Are you doing so many reapairs a day that the few extra minutes it takes to produce a quality repair is not worth it?

I would have to say that the type of break plays a major role in how long it takes properly repair as well as resin type, tooling and yes the technician and their quality standards.

Some suppliers make wild claims on the speed and some may be true, but they are using the bullseye break as their standard. Most tooling will make short work of this type of break. What is their speed on the stars and combo's? You would probably find most will fall pretty close in filling speed. There might be a few that stand out a little more than others but overall there all pretty close. I was soley referring to filling speed without curing.

I have properly filled bullseyes with my DELTA KIT appox. 5 minutes. Note: this does not include curing. Most other standard break types in aprrox 15-20 minutes. Note: this does not include curing either. My average overall fill and cure speed for all break types is approx. 25 minutes. Not cracks. These times may vary occassionally to meet my quality standards.

One thing you didn't mention, is how long the repair takes you, in minutes, not cycles. It is perfectly normal for quality technicians to do 2-4 cycles, to make sure that their repairs come out as well as possible.

The injector's job is to complete a quality repair. It will certainly do this with no additional pressure applied to it. Applying pressure with your thumb is simply a shortcut to make your repair quicker.

Our concern at Delta Kits is quality repairs, as is the concern of most quality windshield repair techs. While we feel our repair equipment will repair windshields as quick or quicker than others, we do not sacrifice quality for a minute or two quicker repair.

yes some will take you only 5 min, far and few betwwen. if your doing multiple repairs like on a car lot get more injectors and by the time you've set them all up going back to your first one will most likely be completly done. then you just start curing them again just 2-3 min's per and your done.

it's like every dent you come in contact with is'nt going to just take 5 minutes is it? no. sometimes you have to work the metal alot longer don't you? and if there's a stuburn brace in the way that will require more time also, huh.

I don't use G.M. or Delta, btw. I have seen a lot of poor feedback about G.M., and the repairs I have seen in person from G.M. techs in my area are poor as well. They don't seem to have a golden reputation is the windshield repair biz. They do, however, seem to sell a lot of high priced systems that end up on Ebay.
