A few promotional ideas that I have in mind.
I want to do this on a spare time basis so I'm hoping to enlist the help of others to find me leads. I won't be doing any telemarketing, door-to door, mass flyer drops etc. People are overwhelmed and PO'ed by that stuff too much anyways. Pad the pockets of those who have the opportunity to observe a lot of vehicles. Gas stations/drive thrus - Get a couple of people on board at local gas stations...get them to give a business card that they have initialed to potential customers that they observe have chips. The card should state something like 5$ off repair by presenting the card. This helps you identify those who are sending work your way so that you can reward them. Give them $5 -$10 per successful lead. Parks/campgrounds near you? - get the attendants/care takers on board. They observe cars all the time...have them spot the chips and pass them on...again $5 - $10 per successful referral. Who better to offer mobile repair to then tourists who don't know the area...fix that damage now before it spreads! I still remember that when I had my first car, one time I returned to it on a parking lot to find a note on the windshield that the company (Apple) had spotted a chip in my windshield and placed a clear sticker over it to keep out moisture etc. Does that work? Well it was about 16 years ago and I still remember the company name and the logo on the sticker :-) Hang around some of the bigger gas stations where the big rigs drive thru, looking for chips and have a free coffee and card in hand. There are a couple of distribution centers for big trucking companies near me that operate 24/7 and I'm thinking of offering them anytime fix it at their centers. There is a small restaurant near where I work. Since I want to do some repairs on my lunch breaks, I might approach the owners and set up some sort of a deal where I arrange to meet the customer there and I pay for their lunch (up to say $10) while I fix their windshield. Good for me, the customer and the restaurant! If you are in an area like me with many smaller communities within a couple hours drive that dont have windshield companies in them, approach a local gas station and arrange a time on a Saturday for example, when you will be in the area to do repairs. Give the gas station owner a split. Anyways...I'm full of ideas (some might say other things:-) and love the marketing side, but I've noticed a few people asking for ideas so I hope someone gets something out of them

Now that is paying forward. One hell of a post my friend. I will bite on those ideas myself. Thank you for the extra effort and don't be a stranger around here. Pay it foward, Brian info@safeglasstechnologies.com www.safeglasstechnologies.com
