I use delta Kits 2 bridge kit. I am extremely happy with their products service and customer support.
However I have not used any other kits so my opinion is really one sided, I just know it works for me, and I have repaired over 700 windshields in the last 5 months, just make sure to but resin in the large quantities or it will really cost you in the end.

Hi Opey. I'm new to this business (no hands on experience yet), but the months that I've spent researching just about every related website indicates to me that the kit you're currently interested in might be a bit excessive. For instance, why do they sell so many products (especially resins)? If you're not in a rush I'd recommend spending plenty of time absorbing all the information out there (assuming that you haven't already done so). I've found these types of forums (especially this one) to be extremely helpful (be sure to check out the FAQ on this site too). For what's worth, I like what Delta offers as well. (Apparently I like to write sentences with parenthesis in them (like this one).) <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/nerd.gif ALT="8o">

opey71,

Hello Opey.

Welcome to one of the most important steps of getting started in windshield repair. I suggest as you are doing, continue to research and then do more research. Try to decide what you can afford now and match it to the company who can provide you with the best customer service as well as high quality tooling and expendables (Resins). There are alot of high quality tooling manufacturers out there and I believe most tooling can accomplish good repairs. But, how user friendly is it is another story. Remember, the tooling is only as good as the technician using it.

I personally own a DELTA KIT and it is very high quality as well as there resins and customer service. I was fortunate enough to be able to see some of the manufacturers under one roof at an expo. It gave me a chance to physically use all of there tooling, see how they presented themselves and hear what other technicians were saying about there brand of tooling already. All these things combined helped me make my decision. Quality was good in most brands I looked at but the other areas were laking. DELTA KITS was very strong in all areas.

So Opey, In the end it will be a personal prefference based on your wants compared to your needs as well as your limitations.

Good Luck to you.

Pay it foward,

Brian

Opey... I own two expensive windshield repair devices, Id sooner not mention any names... I just saw the DELTA windshield repair device at the MTN Expo, I was Very Impressed at what I saw, Quality, Easier to use and results just as good, for 1/3rd of what I paid, I feel like a fool throwing my money away on some highly advertised item, I know I will buy Delta Next time... Live n Learn....
