Default NORTH CAROLINA MENTOR WANTED

Still making progress here. Only thing left are cards, invoices, and shirts.
I have looked on the internet thinking I could find a better deal than locally. However, everyone needs me to order 14 or more shirts. 2-5 is good enough for me. I am looking for the polo-style with my business name embroidered.
Any suggestions?

Default Any tips on getting work shirts?

Delta Kits goes through a local embroidery shop for all our shirts.

Especially doing the volume you're talking about, it's probably your best bet to find someone local, and either buy the shirts and bring them to the embroiderer, or buy them there.

lakosbo, I got mine locally 17.00 including the shirt (t-shirt). I got mabey 10 or so to start then I went back and ordered a couple of polos and the price shot to 35.00 a piece. I learned to check the price in advance. While the shirts are nice, this being a service industry, I believe a work shirt style or a tee are the best choices. The polos we use to wear to functions etc... I got a few colors also and after recieving them have since decided to use one color so customers will get used to seeing it, kind of a uniform thing.
Before I got the shirts I would just dress nice, professional looking when in the public eye. Now that I am doing alot of fleet work I can let my hair down so to speak. I'm glad my wife isn't watching me type this or I would be hearing another hair loss joke right about now :| Good luck Scott

I kept it simple as possible. I went to a local retailer found some nice polo's around 17.00. (Mervyns I think) Then took them to an embroider ( he did my hat too) 8.00 for the embroider work per shirt. I look very professional.

lakasbo, I have a friend whose business is doing professional embroidery. Her machines are connected to computer, so she can scan your graphics or card or whatever, and reproduce it on shirts. You can purchase your own shirts and send them to her, or you can purchase from her selection. She carries quality shirts and guarantees her work. And this is the great part... she does not require a minimum order, and last time I talked to her, she didnt charge a set-up fee either as long as the graphics are provided and no changes need to be made. If you are interested, pm me and I will give you her number. She might ask for an up-front deposit or most likely a credit card. Great lady, and does really good work.
