Did anyone have Glass Mechanix 3000? How is it?

Hi Udon, Yes I use the Glass Mechanix kit. As in any kit, you'll probably find items that are using more often than others and things that you might want to change. Overall, have been satisified with my kits, but have purchased additional items from Delta and L/R over the past 4 or 5 months as well.

My first hand experience with this bridge injector is mostly favorable if you have patience and ALWAYS have access to the inside of the car because you must ALWAYS use an inside mirror with this rig. The reasons are that 1. The injector barrel is of a large diameter and completely covers almost all of the chips that you repair and 2. once you have the rig mounted, you absolutely cannot move it to inspect your progress. That being said, if you follow the vacuum/pressure routine properly, you will get good consistent repairs.
I use the Glass Technology 20/20 and it, like the Delta rig, allow you to neutralize pressure in your injector and "move" it aside to inspect the progress of your repair. Then, if necessary, you simply slide it back over your impact point and do vacuum/pressure/flex, etc. This saves a lot of time when you are doing fleet repairs and the vehicle is locked and you don't have a mirror on the inside. With the GM3000, you have to wait until you think or hope the repair is finished, dismount the whole rig and then have to completely remount if the repair isn't satisfactory. The GM 3000 takes about 3 times longer to do a repair and even longer if the vehicle is locked. I rate it "GOOD" for overall quality of repairs but "POOR" for speed and convenience. GOOD LUCK Gary |

I watched the GT 20/20 training video, it seems more complicated than GM3000, is it true?

That is all very subjective. You have to try the different bridge/injector rigs and decide for yourself. I gave my opinion of the GM 3000 from actually owning and using one.
I use and get excellent results with the GT 20/20. The "center valve" makes it possible to switch back and forth from vacuum to pressure quickly and easily. The big question here is, "are you an experienced tech"? or just starting out. If just starting out, then it is a challenge to evaluate and select your equipment. Training means more than anything. Choose equipment from a manufacturer that has good training and support. I strongly recommend either travelling to their company's training center and getting trained or connecting with someone in your area that uses that equipment that is willing to train you. BE PREPARED to offer them a reasonable fee for their time and expertise. ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT, if you go this route, take the time to "interview" that person and BE SURE that you feel good rapport with them and that they are "good communicators". I personally consider as much as twice the investment in equipment to be the proper amount to pay for good training. 1000 to 2000. This investment will be worth every penny in helping you gain confidence and become productive. Training should include, Repairs techniques, Business setup and marketing/sales. DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT think that you can buy a kit, watch a video, and go out and be proficient in windshield repair. So, whichever equipment you choose, proper training is more important. Good Luck Gary |

Thank you very much for your advise.... Since I am living in California, it's better off to go training in LV with GM. How much do they charge for the training program? I mean I don't need the package offer (hotel... flight.....), I just need the training sessions. Thank you for your input.

I have been using the GM power vac and the delta injectors for about a year now. If I had to choose only one it would be the Delta, it does an all around better job than the GM.

I also use the delta injector, after wasting my money on another brand injector its easy to use has very few parts .The thing I like the best is the positive feel you get while vacuum/pressure .
