Thank you all for you feedback.
You say you have looked at the website and have used the injector. Were you referring to the gmt1000 or the other website I gave out. Once again, I am down to 2 choices. 1. Glass mechanix 1000T kit 2. the kit located here www.WindshieldRepairSupply.com Each one is priced at $600 I would love to go with delta, but the price is just a little high for me right now. Not saying that when things start to pick up I won't give their equipment a shot. I just want to have some confidence in my purchase, I ask this forum for your opinion on either/both kits respectfully. I will be making a purchase tomorrow. Of course, if delta kits would like to sell me their high end EZK-121 for $600 i would jump all over it!!! |

If you are really serious about doing quality repairs take CPR's advice, he says the Delta gives a better looking repair... they have a kit for $750, you could always add to it at a later date...

As well, if you already have some equipment (most likely a drill, bits, curing light, etc...) you may want to "build" your own kit around the things you already have. May save you some money to just get a good bridge, some fresh resins and use what you have until the cash starts rolling in

Thank you CPR.....
DaveC and chips1144, if you read my earlier post you would see that I will not have a toolkit for long. As I stated I have a toolkit from my old boss, I have to give that back to him. I currently do a lot of business with a few fleet accounts and on the side of a busy intersection on the weekend. Time does not permit me to build a kit, I also need to tools because of the flow of business. I can't afford to spend $750 for a kit with a single brindge, I need 2. Again, my current tool does have drillbits and curing light, etc... I have to return everything. I appreciate all of the analogies. But, not to be rude, I was only asking for opinions. Opinions from people that have had experience with these particular kits in the past. CPR was pretty much the only one that did that for me, and I appreciate it. Take care... |

You are being rude, the folks here(myself included) were only trying to help you out. The majority of the replies came from seasoned pros with years of experience trying to save you some money and potential heartache.

My intent was not to be rude but to only remind the forum of what I asked.
I am sorry if I offended. I appreciate that I am in the company of a lot of experience and I value everyone's opinion. I only stated that I was looking for an "opinion" and not an analogy. I understand that experience with a tool makes it a better tool. I understand that the longer you work with the equipment the better the feel you get for it, and I understand that I am on a delta forum and there is a lot of bias here for Delta products. But that is not what I was asking. I have taken in account the many great things said about Delta, and I plan to buy a brindge when the funds permit. But once again, that is not what I asked. I asked for opinions on a certain product and got anologies, then I pointed out that that was not what I was looking for. Now if honesty is rude, then you are correct. I am rude. Thank you, |

Hi to all of you.
I just purchased the gm2000 from glass mechanixs. Ive herd good and bad about theme. Ive been doing rock chips for about 8 years, I hope you get a good clean fix with it. Ive been using the pump from glass medic and i think that one doesent clean up the cracks good. I should get my kit in a day or two and i will try it out. For the money though i think its a good kit and they give you a **** load of resin. The one thing i cant wait to fix is the long cracks that is one thing that i havent done yet. If you all have any pointers on that please let my know. |

I have decided to buy the gm kit.
Thank you for your input. mafsu,DaveC and chips1144 after reading my posts, I now see that I might have been rude in one of my responses. I truly do apologize. I didn't mean anything buy it, just frustrated that I was not getting the answer I was looking for. $600 is a lot of money to gamble with ( for me anyway ) and I just wanted to be sure I was doing the right thing. I do appreciate all of your help, analogies and opinions, they all add up to great advise. In the end I know that ultimately I am the one that has to take the plunge and decide. Thank you and Take care, Ctannehill |

Hello CT...
I didnt have a problem with anything you said, I was trying to give you the benefit of my experience, You clearly said you would buy the Delta if it wasnt for the price being a little too high for you, so you let $395 come between buying what you really wanted and accepting a second choice. I understand money is tight, its tight for many of us, we really do understand money issue's... I do not own a Delta windshield repair device, When I purchased my W.S.R. kit these forums were not around, I had no idea Delta kits even existed and I bought a more expensive kit that in my opinion isnt as easy to use as the Delta device, Ive since seen Delta's in action, when I need a new device it will be Delta. Good Luck with your New windshield repair Kit... |
