No, I'm not IPS, not even with them, just cant stand people who blew up ''their'' products, that are in fact, another ones.
Just cant stand lies.
And no, Janvil is not good at all.

LOL I love a good pi$$ing contest! Having been a member of this forum for some time, and owing a great amount of thanks to the members here, Ill give my 2 cents worth. I respect the comments made be the Senior members here. They have PROVEN time and time again to give good advice and opinions. I’m not saying all are the only way, but they offer different insights.
I checked out the 2 sites John62 mentioned and, well didn’t see anything that lit my fire. IPS states that you have to buy a system in order to buy supplies. This tells me the supplies are inexpensive and the money to be made is in the kits. This is the same as the other systems on the market, Big Bucks, little substance. What do I base this on? Two trips to Florida MTE show to see for myself what the systems had to offer. Did I buy one? NO.
So do I buff glass? You bet you A$$ I do! It has been a great add on in a small market. It has also gotten me PDR and other work. I’ve made money with it.
Is it worth it? That’s for you to figure out in your market. Read the other posts, it IS hard work (back, shoulders).
So what system did I invest in? Well I took the advice of Reprise. I checked out http://www.hisglassworks.com/ I called them up and ordered 2lbs of their white Cerium, ordered a backing pad for my Makita 9227 buffer (Hey if your spending money this is a great buffer for $200, and you can buff your car to!!) a felt pad, and a diamond disc. With shipping I think I spent $75. The guy I spoke to at HIS was a big help and off I went. I looked at it this way. Am I going to be upset if it doesn’t work for a $75 investment? (I had the buffer already) Heck NO! Would I be upset if I spent $1500? HELL YES!
Bottom line you have to go with what YOU think is best for your situation. IF IPS is cheaper than GM go for it. Feel like spending $75 go for that.

Janval I hope you make the MTE this year. I’m always open to trying something new and willing to spend the $ if its warranted.

John62... you did slam Janval and some other respected members... not cool. No I’m not riding you. This is far and away the best learning forum I visit. No can we get back teaching/learning. JMO
Thanks

Thumbs up Re: Windshield Scratches-Glas-Weld Distortion Free System

Jonnyques, excellent post you got right to the point, use whatever works for you. I have spoke extensively with the guy from IPS who is 10 miles from me and another guy who does scratch removal for a living. Looks like experence and knowing what can be repaired is more important than what system you buy.

Finally people are starting to understand scratch removal. Its not what you use but how you use it. Practice, practice then practice some more.

Merci

I`m from Trinidad and I do use the Glas-Weld system which I found to great. Just choose the ones that are repairable and refuse the one that are not.

I hope everyone doing scratch removal is not just sticking to the motor trade, there are far more profitable sources of income for this equipment. Do I polish glass? no way to much like hard work. I prefer to work clever not hard.
