How Many Repairs Do You Average?

How many repairs do you average per 8 hours of continuous work? Are you trying to increase that amount, or are you comfortable where you're at?

I define repairs as completed jobs. Some jobs have one chip but most are more than that. I am trying to grow the number of jobs and achieve consistency week in and week out.

You're right. What I meant was, how many windshields do you average per 8 hours of continuous work.

Most of my jobs take 20 minutes plus or minus a few including the call to the insurance (from when the tool sticks to the glass). I average 3 retail per day which means I have lots of time to do other stuff between calls. Theoretically I could do a weeks work in a day if they were all lined up back to back. I got close one Saturday in '04 and will never forget it!

I chose the 3-6 range but that is an average. 3 days a week I'm busy with car lots or fleets 7-10 range sometime, not great, but it beats working for the man. Cool poll !

Last year I was on the high end of 3-6. In 244 workable days I worked on 1600 windshields. Always trying to increase my yearly average by looking at my monthly figures.

3-6 range for me but somedays higher when Im working my fleet accounts.

14 and up. We do all our repairs, all for a local glass shop, and our car lots we go to 30 car lots weekly.

This is a faulty survey. Should be how many mobile insurance, fleet, dealer, and retail jobs do you do, by yourself-no employees. What price level? No one has to back up their claims with facts. Never believe a competitor.
