I've seen some mention of using pens to market with. I use magnetic business cards and have thought of using pens but have questioned if they really would work. Magnets often are stuck on file cabinets, refrigerators, etc. and I find last almost forever. Working some rental vehicles I've seen thousands of pens thrown out.
That said, and knowing some are having success with them, I have 2 questions. 1) What pens work? Cheap like stick pens, Bic Clics or more medium priced pens like some from National Pen that may run from $.36 to $.49 each. 2) What is being imprinted on the successful pens, company name and phone number or something more? I use the ones from national pen (contour pens I think). I like the ones that either say stolen from... or service is our business. Customers and potential customers love them. These have the rubber grip at the top. Leave some at restraunts for the waiters to get the bill signed with and they disappear and generate business. Give them to your existing customers and they love them. My customers are always asking for pens. Really a pretty cheap advertising investment too.
