Thanks Jeremiah, a1repair, Yvan, magicogar, gold star, cure4glass, and Clarity Glass for the responses. I was pretty peeved when I posted. This woman described the guy doing nothing but pits magic and I saw on the invoice where the location of "said" repairs were supposed to be, no pit filler there!! She said he packed up as she was leaving, it was noon she was on her lunch break and the mall where he was squatting (they don't allow curbside vending) I know it was one of my first choices for a tent location.
I've also done repairs where you couldn't find them at all but I don't think this is the case here. Hey Clarity you still at the Vanc Mall? I've been thinking of coming down that way, maybe I could stop in for a quick visit :~) I wanted to commend Yvan on his arrangement also it sound like a very positive situation for all and I too have heard of some of the windshield repair franchisors that basically reap what you sow. it’s good to know there are some positive ones available also. (A couple of years back I would have taken a deal like that). We’ve done the leg work now but it sounds good!! On a more positive note I was doing my Saturday at the tent thing when I saw the novus dude drive by at the last second so I waved at him and got the PH# off the side of his rig. The guy traveled like 160 miles to do a repair here I couldn't believe it. I guess I've got a lot of work to do getting our name out there yet!!! When he came back through he smiled and tooted his horn at us, I hoped he would stop but I guess he already had enough time and effort in the repair already!!! Thanks again, Scott

Thanks for the kind word's. I just signed another franchisee today, he will be starting his training next week, it,s always fun to start them off, and even more to see them succeed. I guess I have a parental approach to my franchisee's, and they appreciate it, were all just a big family(the competition migh say 'famillia") and have fun making a good living, like most of the posters here(does that make my franchisee's poster children?). I would like the insurance company ask 5-Minute to show them that a good quality repair can be done in an average of 5 minutes! Then they might understand what they have been paying for!

Obviosly most repairs take more than 5 minutes but some take 5 min or less I dont know why anyone would take 5 min as literal. It gets the customer to come in thats what advertising is supposed to do. The 5 minute name lets the customer know this is quick it wont take all day and consiquently the pull in and get the work done and the facts are Some Repairs Take 5 minutes.
Lets move on to some real issues every customer that leaves a repair happy is one that will tell others sounds to me like you looked for something to talk bad about a competitor and jumped. Its simple why turn a happy WR customer into one who isnt? You dont know what was fixxed all you know is you found no proof of damage move on. My Grandfather taught me a long time ago Do your best Be honest and dont talk bad about the competition to your customers it only shows yourself to be petty and brings your own honesty into question. Let your actions show you are better not your words. Lets talk to the new folks about real issues and how they can make a living in the field |
