Default This bridge looks like delta kits

I was surfing around and came upon this site <snip> There bridge looks pretty close to deltas at a much cheaper price. Almost half. Is it good quality? If its just as goo I am going to pick it up! Go check it out.

Thumbs down Re: This bridge looks like delta kits

That guy stole delta's design by breaking there base bridge down and copying it. I would not support that guy even if it were cheaper.

BmwJunkie, while the bridge looks a great deal like the delta B-300 it is very different. It is Anodized aluminum and while the quality is probably good it will cause damage to a automotive finish if dropped on a vehicle from just a short distance. Aluminum is very soft too and the bridge could be ruined by a accidental drop also. The delta bridge would require a lot more force to create the same problem and (correct me if I am wrong Jeff) is warranteed for life.. The injection system is different also, as are the leveling screws!
I wonder why this person would try to emulate the Delta design!! Mabey it's because they know a good system when they see one!! While you may save a buck on the purchase it could also be a loss if you decide to get the Delta Kits stuff when you find out the quality is not what you hoped? Just my opinion. Scott :~)

The injector is the old screw down type rather than the newer spring model that is standard with Delta now. The spring model is about 3 times as expensive to make as the cheaper solid screw down types. They use cheaper materials and not only that ... they aren't creative enough to find their OWN design.

If you were going to use that injector you might as well by the cheap plastic ones, I am sure you could obtain the same results. Best to stay with a reputable company, from what I could see of that injector it has no internal seals, meaning that for a vertical WS the resin would just run out the back(With the injectors I use I can repiar upside-down if needed(happend twice, once in a Subway Restaurant, there display cases are laminated glass and they somehow got a star break on the inside, and once inside a car that had a pipe hit the inside of the WS on the way back form the plumbing store). Also with out seals creating a vacumm is practicaly impossible, and with a thin resin creating pressure is also difficult. We have many good companies that offer great equipment, training, and tech support too chose from before resorting to cheap knock-offs. You must keep in mind that saving a few hunderd dollars might seem good now but in the large picture it will be money wasted.

Enjoy

That company purchased our bridge, attempted to copy it, and could only manage to copy the base in look.

Their injector, as stated before, is an aluminum screw type. Ours is a stainless steel spring loaded injector. We've had two companies attempt to copy our injector, and both have failed...so far !

Their base is anodized aluminum, which can scratch glass very easily. Ours is a nylon/fiberglass mixture that does not.

Didn't look at the thumbscrews, but all our thumbscrews now are stainless steel.

There's plenty of designs out there, why does everyone try to copy ours?

It is getting pretty thick in here, isn't it Sunshine?

With that, thread closed.
