Default Ins co's who won't waive deductible (TX)

Mercury Insurance has recently stopped waiving the deductible in Texas. Does anyone know any other co's who have changed their policy? I would like to make a list so we can tell the customer up front without wasting time on the phone with their insurance company.

Sue,

Did you receive confirmation from Mercury about this? Or how did you hear about it?

We've had a few reports recently of insurance companies not waiving the deductible, but found out later that these reports were inaccurate.

I did a Mercury Ins repair last Saturday (3/4). I sent in my invoice via fax on Tuesday to the adjuster. Haven't heard anything so far. I'll let you know the results.

It is accurate, Mercury recently denied my repair and I think AAA did also.

If anyone has actual written documentation, we would love to see it. Sometimes a technician will have a repair denied, and then tell us the insurance company is no longer waiving deductibles. After investigation, so far anyway, these have turned out to be denied for other reasons.

So, if anyone has documentation stating refusal to waive deductibles for windshield repair, we would appreciate seeing these. You can email to jhiggins@deltakits.com or fax to 541.345.1591.

Thanks.
