I'm going to start in the business this summer and am setting up in Edmonton, Alberta. You are right, most people don't have Windshield insurance here because the insurance is about $300 a year per car. If you do the math, it's just not worth it. In researching my business, I called about 10 glass shops which offer WR as part of their business. The average going rate is $25 for 1st repair and $10 for each additional. Crack repairs are starting at $40 to about $70. I'm hoping my wedge in the marked will be cusomer service with to your home or office service. I have to stay competative and will probably be charging the same price as the others.
