Another suggestion that might increase your refferals that we will try is...adjust your business hours to say 1900-2000 hours and make that Monday through Sunday. This might give you an advatage over other shops that are not open as late. They might call you becuase of that. Even if you don't do repairs that late you can always schedule accordinly but at least you are available to get the call. We have had 2 occassions where they called but we could not get the phone while in the middle of repairs and they did not send a faxed work order or call back. They must have given the jobs to someone else.
If you use EDI for billing, does anyone know if they still call for shop verification and put the customer on or if they will just email and it is your responsibility to check for dispatched jobs?

I took the plunge last week and signed up for e-direct glass. Probably the best move I have ever made. I signed up for the 0-34 EDI's with an annual contract(saved me 15%). At 238.00 for the year, it has given me control over my business.
Before I signed up the only referrals I received was from allstate. About 6 a month. Since I signed up a week ago I have received 3 referrals, but 2 of those were from Metlife. I was also told by lynks that seven companies use electronic assignments. I'm not sure if I will get more Allstate referrals but It has opened the door for other companies as well. I have a total of seven referals for the month and it is just the 15th. I hope it is a sign of things to come. My EDI was costing me 2.95/invoice. Now I am paying 20.00 a month which I have already paid for with the 10 EDI's I have already submitted for this month. I will report back after a month for those who are interested and thinking about switching. I am really pleased so far!

So how is EDG working for everyone??? We have just signed up but still confused on how to use. Did you have to activate Powersync with Lynx to receive electronic dispatches?? Or do you just tell Lynx you are using E-Direct??
Also is Safelite doing any electronic dispatching or is it just Lynx??

ding EDG will take care of everything and I am not being charged the 1.95/invoice. I still receive a phone call from lynks but they don't spend the time giving me a bunch of info. They ask if I am prepared to receive electronic dispatch, they give me the name and phone number of the customer and the dispatch number. They then proceed with putting the customer on the line. If I understand powersync correctly the just send you an electronic dispatch and you contact the customer later. After you receive your initial tech support training with EDG you will be activated with both service providers.

Has anyone noticed an increase in insurance jobs if they switch to electronic. It has been since May that there has posts so I just wanted to check if anyone noticed a difference,, I have not signed up yet.

i have recieved over thirty jobs since hooked up with edirect..takes a while to get used to system but they are very helpfull..not all have beeen allstate.. a little variety of ins co...i have the o-34 plan nad so far i have saved a lot of money
