Can anyone shed some light on the benefits of using PowerSync on the lynx metrix website? Is it strictly for business's that wil have POS machines?

TIA,

I don't know, but it looks like your keyboard's O.K. Sorry I couldn't help myself. I don't use powersync.

I ask this question last week to a lynks rep and from what I got out of the conversation was that i makes data entry a breeze for the technician. You pay 1.95/EDI, for them to electronic dispatch all the customers information to you. All you have to do is provide the customers vin and policy number and your set.

I have signed up with e-direct and I have found that you pretty much get the same service without paying the extra 1.95. It has me a little confussed because after I receive an electronic dispatch, it has the same info. So I chose not to pay anymore for something I was already getting.

Are you saying that e-direct is confusing???? We are in the process of signing up.

No not a all. E-direct has been great and their customer service is excellent. What has confused me is why powersync charges 1.95 per invoice when I am getting pretty much the same service from e-direct.

Now I am really confused...........I thought you had to activate Powersync to receive electronic dispatches through EDG??????? I do not want to pay the 1.95 either.

dingmedic,

If you call eDG for tech support, they'll make sure you're all set up. You don't have to pay $1.95.
