Default Questions from a "newbie"

I'm looking into the windshield repair industry (part time) to supplement my income, but don't want to merely "jump in" without being informed. I'd appreciate any input on a couple of questions - I'm sure more may be on the way as I continue to look into this industry...

1. What are the differences (seeking opinions) between the Glass Mechanix and Delta systems, from a technicians standpoint?
2. Training seems to be a must. Do any of the training programs on the market seem to provide more hands on time / preparation for a newcomer?
3. Does the state of CO require any permits / licenses / certifications for windshield repair technicians?

Thank you in advance for any input!

Regarding training...
First, Delta's training is FREE if you go to Eugene, OR. If you can't, Delta provides full day training around the country (see their website). Second, Delta's training is a full day (mentioned above). There's generally 2 instructors for personal attention and you get plenty of different types of chips to work on. They'll even provide you with some long cracks once you've completed at least 10 repairs. Did I mention that all equipment is provided - free? Finally, Delta's training covers some of the business aspects of operating a business - tips on marketing, etc.

Hey Jb
Both Companys Have Very Good Systems, I Do Know That The Glass Mechanix Charges For Its Training, And Its Three Days In Las Vegas, Its Hands On With Thier System, On A Windshield. The Class Ranges From 2 To 6 Guys Or Gals. Its From 8 To 4, On The Thierd Day They Go Over A Little On Markering. You Will Need A Biz Lic. In Your State To Be Legit, You Should Allways Have Insurance For Your Biz.

There is nothing special needed for windshield repair techinicians in CO. You will need to register your business with the state of Colorado.

Do your research before you jump in, lots of competition in CO.
