Any way to get around needing a fax machine/number?

Ahhhhh the infamous MagicJack!!! I have one of those, and works great.. Depending on how my broadband decides to act that day. But you cant beat it for an extra phone or if on a strict budget....

I have a cellphone
Fax Line, (Which I sometimes use to make calls)
And Magic Jack hooked up to my computer and a cordless phone to take around the house.

Definately would recommend to have......

I got it on a 30 day free trail. After the 30 days it was 39.95 for the whole year. After the year, it will be 19.95 for the year.. No other fees. And has call waiting, 3 way calling, caller id and 911.

I looked this up and it looks awesome. We got rid of our home phone due to cost. We have 3 cell phones but this would be great for the fax. Does anyone know if you recieve a local number for this product???

Yes, you receive a local phone number. They said sometime this year you will be able to port any number to the device. Not sure if they are doing that yet or not. But they did give me a local area code and number.
