GlassStarz --> English Translation:

I personally believe it's not a useful service, and recommend not attempting it.

Just messing with you GlassStarz!

You see a lot of cars with security markings on glass. Looks almost factory and does not actually have the VIN but a code with a 1-800 number to call. I don't know what type of code that is. If you do a search for VIN etching on the internet you will find several hits from police department sites which highly recommend the procedure as a theft deterrent. The VIN etching is so small that I don't see how it would devalue the car.

Horses for courses - in the UK a lot of cars are stolen and " cloned " the etched glasses are a deterrent to this practise. The police can see, at a glance, if there is something amiss.
